New Jersey Primary Election Wrap-Up

As events unfolded throughout the evening, the NJN News team was at a number of campaign headquarters. In the studio, Senior Political Correspondent Michael Aron and Senior Anchor Jim Hooker hosted a panel of guests to provide expert analysis.

Highlights:
• 25th Legislative District Republican Primary – Veteran Republican Senator Anthony Bucco easily beat Morris County Freeholder and Wharton Mayor William Chegwidden.
• 20th Legislative District Democratic Primary – Nine-term State Senator Ray Lesniak held off a strong challenge from NJEA-backed Jerome Dunn by just 8 points.
• 27th Legislative District Republican Primary – “Tea Party”-backed Senate candidate William Eames beat GOP Establishment Candidate William Sullivan.
