Diocese to Honor John Paul II on Date of His Beatification

The last time the late Pope John Paul II visited New Jersey was 1995 and he drew a crowd of nearly 84 thousand for mass at Giants Stadium.  Father Scarangella was there.  He will make the trip to Italy for this Sunday’s beatification ceremony.  Special masses have been planned throughout the Garden State for those who can’t make the pilgrimage to Rome.
