Catherine Lennon, a 90-year-old former nun and retired nurse, has a favorite time of day at St. Vincent’s Nursing Home in Cedar Grove. It’s the time she spends in the Alzheimer’s snooze room. There’s soothing music and lots of sensory stimulation with interesting objects to look at and to touch. The concept was developed in Holland in the 1970’s to help people with mental disabilities.
