Funding May Be Restored to Urban Enterprise Zones

The Assembly Commerce Committee approved a bill that would restore money to municipalities that contain Urban Enterprise Zones.  There are 32 UEZs in New Jersey.  Historically the money from the reduced sales tax in the zones was to go back to the municipality, but over the years the state has taken an ever-increasing amount.  Last year the Christie administration took it all. to balance the budget.
