Senate Judiciary Committee Clears Governor’s State Supreme Court Nominee

 The Senate Judiciary Committee cleared Anne Patterson’s nomination to the state Supreme Court by a vote of eleven to one. Patterson’s long wait for confirmation was the result of a standoff between Senate President Steve Sweeney and Governor Christie over Christie’s refusal to re-nominate Associate Justice John Wallace.  It was resolved when Christie agreed to nominate Patterson for Associate Justice Roberto Rivera-Soto’s seat instead.
