Study Claims New Legislative Map Negatively Impacts Incumbent Women Lawmakers

A study by the Center for American Women and Politics at the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers says New Jersey’s new legislative map disproportionately impacts incumbent women lawmakers.  Four assemblywomen are not running for reelection because their towns have been carved out of their districts.  Yet, the map has created an opportunity for one assemblywoman to run for the upper house.
