The first stop for what organizers called rallies to stand up for working families was held inVineland where many of those gathered may soon be displaced. Civil rights leader Reverend Al Sharpton joined national labor leaders to focus on theVineland Developmental Center which is slated for closure. Governor Christie’s proposed budget calls for saving 1.6 million dollars by closing the developmental center which is home for more than 300 women.
