Governor Christie Holds Town Hall in Hamilton

Governor Christie leveled heavy criticism at the state Supreme Court during his town hall meeting today; referring to the justices as five unelected lawyers in black robes. The Supreme Court is poised to decide whether the state needs to restore as much as 1.6 billion dollars in school aid. Christie said to raise 1.6 billion, he would need to raise state income taxes by 15 percent on everyone or the sales tax from seven percent to nine – and ruled both options out.
