NJ Politicians React to New Legislative Map

 Ray Bateman, a former Senate President and the Republican candidate for Governor in 1977, feels he got a raw deal from the Apportionment Commission that recently drew up the new legislative map.  Under the existing map, Somerset is part of three legislative districts.  Under the new map, the county is divided into six separate legislative districts – that’s six senators and twelve assembly representatives for one county.
