A Family’s Heartbreaking Struggle with Rare Hunter Syndrome

Jeff and Deena Leider, an Elmwood Park couple learned last December that their two boys, Jason and Justin, have a storage disease called hunter syndrome.   They have the inability to break down sugar enzymes in certain parts of their bodies.  Hunter syndrome, which only affects boys, wreaks havoc on the body.
