Former Congressman John Adler Remembered

By Jim Hooker

John Adler was remembered at the state house today with poignant remarks from a longtime South Jersey colleague in the legislature, Assembly Budget Chairman Lou Greenwald, who set aside the morning’s business for a moment to remember his friend.

Several of the state’s U.S. senators offered statements from Washington, even President Obama weighed in on Adler’s untimely passing saying he and the First Lady were deeply saddened and called the Harvard educated lawyer a dedicated public servant who fought tirelessly for the people of New Jersey for more than two decades.  Governor Christie called Adler a fine public servant and a good person whose death came as an awful shock.

One Response to Former Congressman John Adler Remembered

  1. My Condolescence to John Adler”s family. It was quite a shock! He worked very hard for the state and reached out to many, many communities to hear the voices of people.

It saddens me that he will no longer be with us and there will be a missing gap in the lives of all the people who really knew him and respected his dedication to all the people of New Jersey.

Many prayers to the hearts in pain.
