According to Dr. Michael Ingber, a urogynecologist, in Denville, there are two types of incontinence. “There’s stress incontinence, which is involuntary loss of urine at coughing, laughing, sneezing or physical activity or exercise. And there’s urge incontinence, which is loss of urine when the woman feels the sudden urge to urinate and can’t make it to the toilet in time.” Both types are highly treatable.
