Fraud Alert for Senior Citizens

Attorney General Paula Dow is trying to alert seniors to the so called “Grandparent Scam.”  Scammers call a senior pretending to be a relative in distress, such as a grandson, and ask for money to be wired to help them.  The Federal Trade Commission received 60,000 complaints nationwide including more than 1,500 in New Jersey.
