Housing Funding for the Disabled Q & A

By Jim Hooker

Over 8,000 families across New Jersey have children, many of them now adults, who are waiting for placement in group homes or supervised apartments for the disabled.  The Christie administration is considering turning to the federal government for Medicaid dollars to help the disabled, who cannot be placed, stay in their family homes.  Lowell Ayre, Executive Director of the Alliance for the Betterment of Citizens with Disabilities discusses the need for alternative solutions to the housing dilemma.

One Response to Housing Funding for the Disabled Q & A

  1. Thanks for such great radio and tv news. I just think the NJN is the best.

The housing problem in the USA is of great concern to myself and I’m sure many others.

Many of us have been taxed out of our homes and it is quite delimma.
I will never understand how we have money for war, money to build other people’s countries, and no
money to build and maintain our own country.

Is America Up For Sale? And where are we going?
