The High Cost of Flooding in New Jersey

Twelve teams of emergency management officials toured communities in Passaic, Essex, Bergen and Morris counties beginning the first step in getting a presidential disaster declaration and in turn federal aid.  Last year FEMA allocated about 50 million dollars to the state – nearly 17 million of that was for individual and household damage.
