Assembly Considers Legislation for Juveniles Charged with Sexting

A bill sponsored by state Assemblywoman Pam Lampitt that would create an alternative to criminal prosecution of adolescents who are arrested for sexting unanimously passed in the Assembly today.  Adolescents, who may not be aware of the potential consequences of their actions, will not be saddled with a permanent criminal record under the new legislation.
