NJ Supreme Court to Conduct Hearing on Impact of Cuts to School Aid

Closing arguments were heard in a fact-finding hearing examining the impact of about a billion dollars in state aid cuts to public schools.  The issue revolves around whether or not state aid cuts diminished the districts ability to meet education standards.  State Deputy Attorney General Nancy Kaplen defended the cuts and said districts were able to fill the gap with federal funding.
