Camden Considering Countywide Police & Fire Shared Services

 The Camden County Board of Chosen Freeholders is considering adding police and fire departments at the county level that would be available as a service to communities for a fee.  With its roughly 300 million dollar annual budget, Camden County already operates the prosecutor’s office, the county jail and a 911 system.  However, local police and fire departments say creating a new countywide system comes with its own set of problems.
