Camden Police Union Challenges Layoffs in Court

One day after Camden carried out massive layoffs that included nearly half the police department, the Fraternal Order of Police union was seeking injunctive relief on the grounds that the city’s layoff plan was improperly file and in violation of civil service rules. However, Superior Court Judge Francis Orlando ruled in favor of the city.
