Supreme Court Appoints Judge to Determine Education Funding

The state Supreme Court appointed a judge who will gather evidence through a hearing and make proposed findings as to whether or not education funding cuts are unconstitutional. The burden of proof is on the Christie administration to make the case that less funding in the 31 Abbott districts is adequate to meet the high court’s mandate of providing a thorough and efficient education to all students.
