From the Jersey shore to all points inland snow blanketed the Garden State causing members of the National Guard to be called in to assist with highway rescues. State Police Superintendent Rick Fuentes says his troopers and other first responders have been kept busy. The storm affected all modes of travel shutting down airports, including Newark Liberty International, trains, which were delayed from 15 minutes to over two hours, and NJ Transit which canceled all bus service.
