Casino Gambling and Horseracing Bills Under Review

An Assembly committee is reviewing a number of bills pertaining to casino gambling and horseracing.  One would strip the Casino Control Commission of some of its regulatory duties and transfer them to the Division of Gaming Enforcement.  Democratic Assemblyman John Burzichelli calls the effort an overhaul and says it would save the casinos between 9 and 16 million dollars a year.  Those funds would be available to prop the ailing horseracing industry.
