Development Lead to Pollution of Barnegat Bay and Shore Waterways

Seven environmental organizations issued a report claiming development along the rivers and waterways that lead to the Barnegat Bay has put more nitrogen and pollutants into the bay and other shore areas.  The groups are supporting a bill in the legislature that would make New Jersey the first state in the country to require the sale of fertilizers that slowly releases nitrogen.  The Christie administration is expected to release a management plan for the Barnegat Bay tomorrow.
