NJ Income Tax Not As High As Other States

According to New Jersey Policy Perspective, Governor Christie and his wife, Mary Pat, did not pay the top tax rate last year, even though their combined income was more than half a million dollars. The liberal research group used New Jersey’s first family to illustrate the point that the progressive tax code doesn’t always hit high-income families with such a wallop.
