NJN’s Future Looking Bleak

By Marie DeNoia Aronsohn
State funding for NJN Public Television is due to run out at the end of the year.  All state employees at the Network have received layoff notices.  The termination date for staff is December 31st.  Democratic legislators have said they could make supplemental money available to keep the Network going beyond the year’s end.  However, Governor Christie will reject such an extension unless there is a workable plan in place to move forward on transitioning NJN.
