GOP Assembly Members Call for Action on Tool Kit

Republican Assembly leaders are accusing Democrats of dragging their feet on the “tool kit.” The Senate State Government Committee was supposed to consider a Civil Service Reform bill, but this morning it was pulled. Mayors say civil service and arbitration reform are the two bills needed to control costs at the local level. This past summer leaders instituted a 2 percent cap on property taxes which takes effect January 1, 2011.
