Commissioner of Education Rebuffs NJEA Convention Invitation

For the first time a Commissioner of Education has declined to speak at the State Teachers Convention. NJEA President Barbara Keshishian was shocked by the letter sent from Acting Commissioner of Education Rochelle Hendricks in which she declined the invitation to speak citing the NJEA’s unwillingness to work with the Christie Administration as a true partner.
