Followers of New Jersey politics who’ve been in or observing the arena for more than three years knew him well; or at least knew of him. That’s because he was the Number One pundit on the scene for so many years; quoted in more articles – newspaper, internet and otherwise — and seen and heard in more television, radio and even new media segments on all things political in Jersey than any other.
We’re talking, of course, of David Rebovich, the top-flight and well-liked Rider University political scientist who died suddenly at age 58 while teaching a class on New Jersey politics at Rider in October, 2007. Since his passing, Rider renamed the political institute he started there in his honor: The Rebovich Institute for New Jersey Politics.
Now David’s daughter, Missy, a senior at Rider, is dabbling in the waters her father knew so well; serving as a fall intern for the go-to political website in New Jersey, Politickernj.com. It’s the same website her father wrote for before he passed away.
