More than one million dollars in federal aid is headed to Camden to help reduce air pollution there. It will help in a city where residents are coping with numerous toxic threats. The EPA announced that it’s now providing 1.1 million dollars to upgrade 48 pieces of cargo handling equipment at the South Jersey Port Corporation on the Camden waterfront. Older diesel engines release particulate pollution and carbon monoxide. Triggering asthma and causing other respiratory problems.
