Goodwin Versus Greenstein 14th District Senate Race

By Zachary Fink
Republican state Senator Tom Goodwin is being challenged by Democratic Assemblywoman Linda Greenstein in the 14th legislative district. The economy and jobs have been defining issues in the race. But while Greenstein has run an ad claiming to be the candidate for small business, Goodwin was endorsed this week by the New Jersey Office of Independent Business. Meantime, Goodwin is unhappy about another ad from the Greenstein campaign that accuses him of failing to challenge Governor Christie when he vetoed $7.5 million in women’s health care funding. The ad shows a pink ribbon on a gravestone. The 14th district seat was once held by Bill Baroni who was appointed to the Port Authority earlier this year by Christie.
