Clean Water Council Holds Hearing on Water Infrastructure

When you talk about upgrading the state’s underground system of pipes and the treatment plants that provide water it isn’t as sexy as the new tunnel under the Hudson River, but when you look at the failure at the Trenton Water Plant last week and how the state was forced to move water around during last summer’s drought you’re reminded of the importance.  One estimate puts repairs and replacement of that infrastructure at more than 20 billion dollars.
