Christie Administration Seeks to Privatize Land Use Permits

Environmentalists are concerned about a plan by the Christie administration to have contractors handle environmental land use permits.  The contractor would review projects to make sure that state regulations protecting wetlands, coastal areas and threatened and endangered species are followed.  Environmentalists worry that safeguards will be compromised.
