After a 2.5 hour debate, the vote to pass the pension and reform bill that pitted organized labor and some Democrats against Governor Christie was passed with 46 in favor and 32 against. The legislation is a compromise between Republican Governor Christie and Democratic legislative leaders.
This a historic bill that is only for four years should it be signed. Labor still has and always will have the right to bargain their pay and if it does not work it will be repealed.
Wasn’t Whitman the first to decide to raid the pension fund?
Isn’t the corporate health care, with large administrative costs, the reason health care goes up astronomically?
Isn’t it time for “Medicare for All”?
