AIDS Turns 30

It’s been 30 years since the Center for Disease Control identified a deadly infectious disease known as acquired immune deficiency syndrome, or AIDS. Englewood AIDS expert Dr. Jeffrey Kocher, describes it as a dark time for patients and their physicians. But in 1995, scientists developed powerful drugs, called protease inhibitors, that were able to prevent the AIDS virus from replicating.
