Findings From Ferris Wheel Death Released

The death of 11-year-old Abiah Jones in a 100-foot fall from a Wildwood ferris wheel resulted in a state investigation that concluded she was not properly seated in the ride. Today, Abiah’s parents spoke out about the tragedy and the results of the investigation.
‘Not seated properly’? How can you not ‘seat properly’ in a ferris wheel unless you stand up? There are two seats, one to the left, one to the right. OK, I get the point of the need for restraints or seat belts in a ride that goes 150 feet in the air and it’s a good idea, but I still don’t get the ‘Not seated properly’ part. Oh, and she was only 11? Who’s picture was that?
