Monmouth County Creates 9-1-1 Regional Dispatch Center

Neptune Township, Neptune City, Asbury Park and Avon are now joining 45 other shore area municipalities sharing emergency dispatch services. The Neptune Township 9-1-1 Communications Center will handle emergency calls for the nearly 50 towns. Monmouth County officials are hoping more towns will join in sharing resources as officials look for ways to reduce budgets to keep within the two-percent property tax cap.
