Democrats Call on Legislature & Governor to Stop Cuts to NJ FamilyCare

New Jersey FamilyCare provides health care for more than 900,000 low income residents, including more than 600,000 children. But health care advocates and lawmakers fear tens of thousands could be deemed ineligible if the state gets federal approval of a Medicaid waiver. The Christie administration is proposing a second reduction in income eligibility, even lower than last year’s, which was 25,000 dollars for parents with two children.
