Assembly Budget Hearing on Property Taxes & DCA Spending Plan

Mayors, an AARP representative and the administrator for Salem County told lawmakers residents in their towns are at a breaking point. The average state property tax bill has now reached nearly eight thousand dollars per household. Democratic lawmakers said it’s the state’s tax system and a broken structure holding up the tool kit not the legislature’s unwillingness to act.
