Tensions ran high as the decision came down. Just two months after trustees voted to allow undocumented students to openly enroll at the County College of Morris and pay in-county tuition, that policy was reversed. County freeholders sent a letter to the college asking the board to reconsider the tuition rate and in a 9 – 2 vote they obliged. The reversal means tuition for undocumented immigrants will increase from 115 dollars a credit at the in-county rate to 326 dollars.
Outrageous, that this is where a nation of laws have come to. What other laws shall we choose to ignore?
This is not about the struggle of individuals who have illegally entered our country, this is about our lawmakers, of both parties, who benefit from making a mockery of our country and who wish to undermind the foundation of what it means to be AN AMERICAN. They would take this path of a thousand cuts to change our society permanently because they know they could never pass this law by the people.
