Asbury Park Debate Team Scores Top Prize

Whether or not the United States should reduce its military presence in Afghanistan was the topic the Asbury Park High School team debated at a tournament in Baltimore last month that earned them the first place trophy.  Today, they participated in a scrimmage on the same topic.  The high school students’ debate team was created and mentored by Monmouth University students with the help of a seven-thousand dollar grant from a bank.
