Mayor Redd to Swear-in Rehired Camden Police and Fire Personnel

After being off the job for two months, 31 firefighters and 55 police officers are back on the job and will hit the streets of Camden immediately. The rehiring was made possible after city officials secured 2.5 million dollars in South Jersey Port PILOT agreement money, along with federal dollars. The mayor says if her budget had passed she could have brought back more of the 168 police and a third of the fire department.
