Political Firestorm Brewing over Proposed Map Changes

The redrawing of a new legislative district map is causing political fallout as the reported plan would have Senate Majority Leader Barbara Buono and Senate Health Committee Chair Joe Vitale pitted against each other in a primary. The two prominent Democrats have gone public with their disapproval. Senator Buono called the process alarming and hinted strongly at political motivations by members of her own party.
