The State’s Reapportionment Commission is putting in long days as the deadline to draw a new legislative map closes in. Governor Christie showed up amid the on-going closed door conferences yesterday, stirring up some controversy between democrats who said it crossed a line…and republicans who said it was entirely appropriate. The Commission is charged with re-drawing New Jersey’s 40 legislative districts based on demographic data from the 2010 census. They must meet a Sunday deadline.
