Results of Joint Task Force on Reducing Carjacking and Other Crime

Authorities say a multi-agency law enforcement crack down in Newark has put the breaks on a carjacking spree that has terrorized those who live, work and visit Newark. So far officials have arrested and charged 42 men. They say this merge and surge strategy will inform future crime fighting efforts especially during this time of diminished resources and public worker layoffs.
