Governor Christie Nominates New Education Commissioner

Governor Christie has nominated Christopher Cerf of Montclair to be the new Education Commissioner.  The Governor said he has known Cerf since the 1990’s when Cerf was helping to run the Edison Schools Experiment.  Christie praised Acting Commissioner Rochelle Hendricks, who has run the Department of Education since late August when Christie fired DEP Commissioner Bret Schundler.
