Joanne Chesimard Escapes from Clinton Women’s Prison

Joanne Chesimard, who was convicted of killing NJ State Trooper Werner Foerster, escaped from Clinton Women’s Correctional Center. Two armed men entered the prison, took two guards hostage and escaped with Chesimard. Chesimard was serving a life sentence for the murder of Trooper Foerster.
