Republican Rout in Bergen County

Newly elected Bergen County Executive Kathleen Donovan intends to hit the ground running.  Donovan says she is eager to get to work and is hoping to reduce the county workforce without layoffs – possibly through attrition.  Donovan also stated if taxes have to be increase they will not go higher than the rate of inflation.  In addition to Donovan, Bergen County Republicans swept the election with Michael Saudino as County Sheriff and three seats on the Bergen County Board of Chosen Freeholders all going to Republican candidates.
