Follow the Money: ARC Tunnel Cost

Now that Governor Christie has put an end to the ARC Tunnel Project many are questioning what it will cost New Jersey taxpayers to cancel the project. The state has to pay back the federal government 350 million dollars. The state’s Transportation Trust Fund is due to run out of money in July and could use any surplus funds for badly needed road and bridge repair work. Governor Christie has indicated he may use some of the funds towards state transportation projects.
