Toxic Chemicals and Children’s Health

Senator Frank Lautenberg led a panel of experts in a senate field hearing at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ to discuss the harmful effects of exposure to toxic chemicals especially on children. Under the current law, the Environmental Protection Agency can only call for safety testing after evidence shows a chemical is dangerous. Lautenberg has introduced a bill that requires safety testing of all industrial chemicals.
